I am a photography artist and started this journey many years ago with film cameras. Digital photography opened up new avenues for more risk taking, more flexibility and expanding artistic expression. While I do not have a subject specialty, I am particularly drawn to wildlife and the natural elements that surround us. Birds and botanicals are especially inspiring as they provide endless opportunities to capture beauty, wonder, randomness and even whimsy through the camera lens. I like to present my work on a variety of substrates in addition to paper such as canvas, metal and wood according to what may compliment or enhance the art piece.
I believe everyone is a photographer, with the blink of an eye—capturing images that become memories and ultimately great works of art showing in the most important gallery of all - the mind!
